How to Make a Small Bedroom Look and Feel Bigger
If you’ve given up hopes of having a large bedroom, don’t give up just yet. It can be difficult to make the most of your small bedroom, especially once you fill it with furniture, but at Cleo’s Furniture, we’ve come up with some tips to make your small bedroom look and feel bigger. Let’s jump right into it.
Lights
The lighting in a room makes a difference. Just like a greenhouse. It may look small on the outside, but the open windows inside make it look a lot wider. Consider opening the curtains or blinds and letting the natural light come into the room.
Light bounces off of walls and if your room is a dark purple, you can’t see the wideness of the room. You might want to go with a different color palette for your room to make it look brighter and bigger. Light colors or even white will look great and give your bedroom the spacious look you’re going for.
Lamps
If you aren’t into the natural light in the room and you’d rather use your room light or lamp, consider a wall lamp. Regular lamps are great, but they take up so much room. The cord and the big body frame are just in the way of everything. If you can, invest in a wall lamp. These are stylish and save space while adding light to your bedroom.
Mirrors
The reflection or natural light bouncing off of mirrors will give the illusion of a bigger room. If you have a mirror, consider facing it towards the natural light to bounce it off in the room. If you don’t have a mirror, consider purchasing the Antique White Mansion Mirror. With its cream-colored border, it will go perfectly in any room.
Built-in Storage
You can never have enough space for your belongings! If you need a space for your bags, shoes, clothes, or any of your belongings, consider built-in storage. Now there are many different built-in storages to consider. You can have built-in shelves in the room or even storage in the bed. The McCabe King Storage Bed is a built-in storage to consider.
Legs
If you have a bed that sits on the floor, it probably makes it seem like it takes up the whole room. Try picking a bed that has some tall legs. Not only does it lift the bed off the ground, but it also gives the room a cleaner look. You can see that the bed doesn’t take up most of your room. It is proportioned equally with your personal belongings.
