What Type of Recliner is Best for You?
Furniture shopping can be tricky. There are several types to consider, each offering something different. Traditional recliners are easily used by pulling a lever, and gliders with a pull handle. To determine which recliner is right for you, we at Cleo’s Furniture have created a list of the different types of recliners you should consider for your needs. The first recliner is the traditional lever recliner.
Traditional Lever Recliner
There’s nothing wrong with going traditional, especially when finding a comfy seat to rest after a long day. The Transformer II Swivel Glider Recliner is a classic recliner with top-grain leather upholstery. Pulling it will push out and raise the footrest and cause the chair to lean back for a more comfortable feel. Recliners are helpful, especially after a long day at work when you just want to eat, sit down, and watch your favorite show or movie. A push-back recliner might suit you if you’re looking for a chair with a different reclining style.
Push-Back Recliner
You can always consider a more modern and stylish chair if you do not love the traditional recliner look. A push-back recliner, like the Serene Red Leather High-Leg Power Recliner, has a glossy finish. It has no handle or lever; you simply lay back, and the modern recliner will recline independently. This is also the perfect pop of color if you need one in your living room. The next reclining chair to consider is a glider recliner.
Glider Recliner
Gliding recliners are becoming very popular, especially in baby nurseries. Gliding recliners, for example, the Harper Fog Swivel Glider Barrel Recliner is the perfect place to rock your baby to sleep. It is comfortable and fits the mood you want for a peaceful and relaxing nursery. Gliding recliners have a swivel base and a gliding motion so you won’t rock back hard. However, these have a smooth transition, especially for mothers who just got home from the hospital.
Power Lift Recliner
Power lift recliners use electricity to recline. The technology in them offers easy activation, with the Brisbane Stone Power Lift Recliner being a great example. No physical movement is needed, simply use the remote to recline in your desired position. You can raise the footrest and keep the back in place, and vice versa.
