3 DIY Easter Decorations To Do With Your Family
It is officially spring time in Arkansas! With warmer weather and longer days, people are more likely to spend time outside with their families. Spring is also the time we celebrate Easter and little ones can be seen running around the living room and home hunting Easter eggs. Easter is also a time where families can gather and celebrate the love they have for one another. Some say the real fun starts the day after Easter, when you are putting your home back together after your kids blew through the house hunting for treasures. At Cleo’s Furniture, we value family time above all else, which is why we have put together this list of 3 DIY Easter decorations that you can make with your family to get you in the Easter spirit. And, if you realize it is time to upgrade your home furnishings, we’re here to help!
- DIY Easter Bunny Garland
You don’t have to have an art degree to be able to make your home festive for hosting a big Easter lunch! This garland is super simple to make and can add a lot of fun to your living room or any other space.
Supplies:
Thick-cut scrapbook paper (get creative and colorful), Yarn (we suggest white, but can be any color you like), Scissors, Fork, Craft glue, Tape (optional)
Instructions:
- Print out the template here, and cut out the bunnies.
- Using the template, cut at least 10 bunnies from the scrapbook paper (or more depending on desired length of garland.)
- Now that you have the bunny it’s time to add a pom pom tail! Wrap your yarn around the outside of the fork about 40-60 times (depending on desired thickness.)
- Then cut an 8-inch piece of yarn and tie off the yarn in the middle prong of the fork. (This will bring the top and the bottom pieces of the yarn together) Tie it as tightly as you can.
- Now, cut both loops on each side of the yarn and fluff it up! You can trim some of the longer pieces off for uniformity.
- Using the craft glue, glue your bunny’s new tail on to the scrapbook paper cutout.
- Now that you have your bunnies, it’s time to attach them to the garland! Cut your desired length of yarn and use the glue to attach the bunnies by the ears to the garland. (you can also use tape for this part if it is easier.)
- Hang on your fireplace mantel, above or on the dining room table, throughout the living room, or up against a wall!
- DIY Folded Bunny Napkins
If you’re hosting the whole family over, these DIY bunny napkins are super easy to make and can add fun and color to your dining room table and arrangements.

- Decorate your entire home with these colorful and festive decorations.
- DIY Spring Wreath
Perhaps the most classic DIY Easter decoration is the spring wreath. These are great for your front door, our fireplace mantel, on the wall and just about anywhere you want!
Supplies:
Twig wreath form, Roll of burlap fabric, Decorative moss, Plastic easter eggs (any color you like), Hot glue gun with glue sticks (have adult supervision),
Instructions:
- Begin by laying your wreath on a flat surface and start gluing large sections of moss. BE CAREFUL!
- Once your moss is dried, you can then begin to glue on the easter eggs (you can use as many or as few as you’d like.)
- Next, fill in any empty spaces on the wreath by gluing down more moss.
- Cut a small strip of burlap and tie it to form a hanging loop through the top of the wreath.
- You can also add a burlap bow to add to the wreaths to give it a little more volume. Glue this on so it stays in place.
- Hang your beautiful spring wreath!
